Lee Stocking invests his career in helping build high-tech businesses from start-up to over $40M for such companies as 3M, Imation, Kodak, Computer Network Technologies, Gelco/Concur and others. Formally trained in Chemical Engineering, and having run a computer hardware and software development lab, he was under the initial delusion that the only thing required to sell products and services was the creation of technically better and cheaper widgets and a deeper technical understanding by the sales force. This phase lasted three weeks until the demise of a sale to his first prospect.
Since this life-changing event, Lee has been involved in helping sales and marketing teams examine their processes and become more effective in “selling stuff.” His passion is getting sales and marketing teams working together to get sales results. He is a certified coach in Customer Centric Selling Sales Process. He is also a graduate and coach for Solution Selling and SPIN selling.
Clients and colleagues often say that Lee thinks strategically and acts tactically. He is a creative, high energy professional who can leverage a breadth of experience in Marketing, Product Development, Sales Development and Professional Services to drive new market development and sales. When Lee is not involved in sales and marketing, his passions have allowed him to:
- Sail the Atlantic
- Kayak the Augsburg Olympic whitewater course
- Teach an Inuit village to play Frisbee
- Climb Mount Kenya to 16,000 feet
- Transit the Grand Canyon (25 miles and 10,000 feet elevation) in 15 hrs 30 minutes.
