This happened for me several years ago--I was driving along, and suddenly asked myself--"where have all the poopy people gone?" I realized that gradually, I had been making the decision (kind of subconciously at that point), to not work with certain people--that they were not worth the effort, and that they drained me physically and emotionally. I decided in that moment that I had reached a point in my career where my best clients deserved at least as much, if not more, than the difficult people. So I don't waste time or effort with the difficult ones anymore. Of course, if you are just starting out in any venture--you cannot afford to be very picky. But just look at those experiences as practice--so that you are better prepared for the better times ahead!
